Book Review

A new book on the shelves for practitioners and parents, and while the title may lead you to think the contents will be ‘froth and bubble’, this book is a valuable, informative and realistic resource. While reading the scenarios in the book, children in your class come to mind and your own observations can then be used in the action cycle of choosing appropriate strategies, acting on these and then reflecting on the outcomes.  

The strategies outlined for interacting with young children are descriptive, but not prescriptive and allow this book to be used as a working document  and tool for teachers, aides, specialist teachers and parents to work as a team and be consistent in their approach when working with individual children.
