Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do I have to order figurine so that they arrive before school holidays?
A: 1 September is the deadline for figurine orders.  Each figurine is hand made to the highest quality possible.  See instructions to the right.

Q: Digital Documentation CD won't open when inserted ?
A: You may not have autorun set on your computer.   If it doesn't open go to My Computer and click the  CD Drive.  If it won't open check that you have Microsoft Word installed.

Q:Can I purchase Building Waterfalls Digital Portfolio Systems?                                                                   A: No it is no longer for sale. It has been replaced by Sharing the Journey.

Taking pictures for figurines

• Set your camera to the highest possible quality and resolution. 
• Do not use digital zoom.
• Draw two small marks on the floor 10 cm apart and level. 
• Have the children put their toes on the marks.  Feet need to be level so that once on the figurine they don't appear as if they are up in the air. 
• Sit on the floor or low chair directly in front of the lines to take the photo.  If you are too high you will be looking down on the child and this will make the shoulders appear out of proportion to the rest of the body.
• Hands should be beside or in front of the child.  No tiny figures pocking out as we can't guarantee we can cut around them. 
• Child should be standing straight.  Camera should be straight also (turn it on the side so it takes a portrait orientated picture). 
• Child shouldn't be leaning on anything or holding your hand. 
• Make sure there is sufficient light and no shadows on their face. 
• Double-check the images before burning to CD or emailing.  They MUST be clear and not blurry.  If emailing don't reduce the size.
